The watchmaker collaborated again with Bugatti to create a watch that pays homage to the Chiron hypercar, notably its 16-cylinder engine.
The tonneau-shaped casing is entirely constructed of sapphire crystal and has a distinctive blue tint obtained through a combination of minerals and metals. Though the color of the case is eye-catching, there is ample transparency to show off every aspect of the JCAM37 manual wound caliber, featuring an inclined 30o tourbillon. The transparent casing also allows you to see the 51 jewels that power the watch’s movement.
“At Jacob & Co., we are constantly developing luxury watches that no one else can imagine,” Jacob & Co. CEO Benjamin Arabov said in a statement. “With the Bugatti Chiron Tourbillon timepiece, we have created the world’s first true engine on the wrist, something no one has ever attempted before.”
